Law Firms Among the £3b Being Wasted on Websites
According to the UK Federation of Small businesses, Microsoft has just published a survey that shows small and medium sized companies are wasting an estimated £3 billion on websites that are not visible to search engines. The survey showed that 2.79 million businesses have websites, but the majority of them are not investing in search engine marketing.
The point being that these small and medium sized companies are not making the most of their online investments.
Search engine marketing means pro-active and professional SEO / search engine optimisation, pay per click advertising, blogging, social media and so on.
Every piece of online media plays a part in how much search engine exposure your website gets.
The way most companies approach websites is the equivalent of locating a fish and chip shop on a deserted country road.
You have all the setup costs but it's never going to make any money.
Locating your website on the online equivalent of the high street, means more traffic and a greater exposure to potential clients ready to take buying action.
